Cable and short-circuit calculations
Because a contemporary installation is no longer fed only by the distribution system operator's network, performing a cable calculation and a short-circuit current calculation is a job in itself that needs to be done with the necessary knowledge. Different operating states, the presence of decentralised generation, emergency generators, flywheels and UPSs make short-circuit current calculation and selectivity evaluation no mean feat.
Using the brand-independent cable calculation software Caneco, we build a calculation model of your installation. This model allows the evaluations below to be carried out:
- Calculating short-circuit currents
- Calculating short-circuit current contribution from decentralised generation
- Dimensioning and monitoring high voltage cables

An electric arc releases a huge amount of energy under the form of an explosion and the associated pressure wave that blows away hot gases and burning particles. The damage that an electric arc can cause to humans is not small: burns, eye and tissue damage UV and IR light damage, electrocution,...
An arc-flash study allows us to determine the appropriate protective measures.

Caneco Mapping
If you are facing an inventory job of an existing installation or are about to design a new one, Caneco Mapping is the appropriate tool.
Caneco Mapping offers the ability to import available information from a database into Caneco BT. This avoids a lot of manual work and reduces the risk of inconsistencies.
Available data from Excel, Autocad, Eplan is checked by the tool to make it suitable for import into Caneco BT. Missing information can be added generically or is signalled to the user. After these checks, the available info is linked to information in Caneco.
