Installation of Caneco BT with Network License

Installing Caneco BT on a workstation

Run the installation wizard:

Select “Install Caneco BT”

If you have a network license with an SBTR or BTR-RK key, enter your key number and the following screen will appear.

In most cases, this is an installation where Caneco BT is installed on the client PC and the license is retrieved from the server.

 Select “on workstation”

Enter the server name and/or address and click “Test”.  A green check mark indicates that the server has been found.

You will then see the following screen:

Caneco BT is being installed.

The Country Pack is being installed.

Caneco BOX is being installed.

Caneco Dessin is being installed.

The License Manager on the workstation is being installed.

If required, the driver for working with a network license will be installed.

Alpi Update is being installed on the workstation.

If not already present, the Alpi Update program will be installed or updated.

End of installation. Click “Close”.

Update license file ️

License file download link: https://electrisoftware.be/downloadkeyfile/Keymaj-BT_NLD.zip

Extract the files from “keymaj_BT_NLD.zip” and paste them (overwriting any existing files) into the folder:

programfiles (x86)/common files/alpi shared

This adds the latest license data.

Update software + catalogs

Start Alpi Update 7.0

Click “Validate” the first time.

A connection to the server is established and available software updates are searched for.

Do you see no software? Try enabling the checkboxes at the bottom:

  • Display only most recent version

  • Display installed software in administrator mode

Click the blue arrow “Download and install selected elements”

Check via the “Datas” tab whether catalog updates are available.

Check separately for versions 5.15 (2025), 5.14 (2024), etc.

Caneco BT is now installed and up to date.

Manual installation

If, due to limited installation rights, the installation of the different components fails or gets stuck, the components can be installed manually. This allows the required installation permissions to be granted for each separate setup.

1. Caneco_BT.exe

2. Caneco_BT_CountryPack.exe

3. CanecoBoxModule.exe

For TCP, a port between 27000 and 27009 is selected.

For the software itself, a random port is used.

If fixed ports are required, they must be defined in the .lic file on the network server.

DThe firewall must allow communication for:
Caneco.exe
Lmgrd.exe
27000
52338

The specific port (in this case 27000) must be added to the server name.
